UNIT 8: MY BODY
Lesson 2
I. Objectives
- By the end of this unit, pupils can talk about one’s body.
- Pupils can count from 1-10.
- Pupils can review numbers 1-10.
II. Procedures
*Warm up: Review the names of the parts of the body.
A. Presentation
1. Teaching vocabulary and structure
Step 1: Teacher teaches vocabulary and structure: I’ve got ….
Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.
Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher.
Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.
B. Practice
2. Listen and say
Step 1: Tell pupils to look at the picture on pages 46 and 47.
Step 2: Play CD. Pause after each phrase.
Step 3: Play CD again. Pupils repeat the phrases chorally and individually.
C. Production
3. Say and do
Step 1: Call a pupil to say I’ve got ….
Step 2: Pupils repeat.
Step 3: Repeat with other words.
D. Application
- Learn structures and vocabularies by heart.
WEEK 26 – PERIOD 52
UNIT 8: MY BODY
Lesson 3
I. Objectives
- By the end of this unit, pupils can say, recognize, and write the letter Rr.
- Pupils can recognize and say the sound /r/.
- Pupils can develop fine motor control.
II. Procedures
*Warm up: Review the word a-q.
A. Presentation
1. Learn the letter
Step 1: Say Rr, rabbit and run. Pupils repeat the words.
Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.
Step 3: Have pupils repeat the letter name and letter sound.
Step 4: Tell pupils to practice.
B. Practice
2. Sing
Step 1: Play the CD. Tell pupils to listen to the song.
Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell pupils to repeat after teacher.
Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.
C. Production
3. Find
Step 1: Tell pupils to find the letter r in the alphabet.
Step 2: Tell pupils to look at the main picture on page 48.
Step 3: Tell pupils to find the things beginning with the sounds /ae/ (apples), /m/ (mangoes), /f/ (figs), /d/ (dates)...
D. Application
- Learn a song by heart.
