I. OBJECTIVES:
1. Aims: At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Talk about their study and the subjects they learn at school.
- Listen for details about a report card.
2. Knowledge:
* Grammar: Review advice in Reported Speech.
3. Skills: Speaking, listening & writing
II. PREPARATION:
1. Teacher: Posters, textbook, workbook, tape, cassette.
2. Students:

- Prepare: Speak and Listen -P.47,48; answer the questions on page 48.
III. PROCEDURES:

PRE-SPEAKING: (10’) * Answer questions: - Hangs on the questions and elicits the meaning and the way to answer them. - Makes the model and asks Ss to use the information in the box to answer the questions. - Asks Ss to work in pairs with the questions. - Invites four pairs to ask and answer
II. WHILE-SPEAKING: (12’) * Reporting: - Asks Ss to work in groups of four to tell again about their friends’ answer. Example: Nga often does her homework after dinner. Her father usually helps her with her homework… - Calls on some Ss to practice speaking before class. - Comments and corrects Ss’ mistakes. III. POST-SPEAKING: (15’) * Listening - Hangs on the poster with the report card and hands out the worksheets.
- Runs through the information and focuses Ss the meaning of each item. - Plays the tape twice for ss to listen and do the task. - Gets feedback and plays the tape once again and checks the information. |
