Jumble Words
- Write the words whose letters are in a random order on the board.
- Divide the class into 2 teams. Ask students from two teams go to the board and write the correct words.
- The team which writes more correct words first wins the game.

Step 1: Presentation (12’) black (adj) đen white (adj) trắng gray/grey (adj) xám red (adj) đỏ orange (adj) cam yellow (adj) vàng green (adj) xanh lục blue (adj) xanh dương brown (adj) nâu purple (adj) tía (màu đỏ và màu lam trộn với nhau) Introduces the words by explaining the meaning, using the situation. - Reads the words for the modal (3 times). Then helps SS to repeat (2 times). - Checks S’s reading in individual & corrects the mistakes. - Writes the words on the Bb & checks the meaning & the pronunciation Check voc : R.O.R Finding friends: - Introduces the requirements & the table then asks Ss to make sentences: · She has brown hair. · She has green eyes. Etc… - Asks Ss to go to the board & take note their friends appearances & Comments .
Step 2 : Practice (15’) Dialogue Build: - Set the scene: Mai have a new doll. Mai and Lan are talking about her doll. - T. reads out the dialogue and writes a few key words on the board to help sts remember what the two speakers in the dialogue say to each other. - Sts reproduce the dialogue from these board cues until it is memorized. - Sts practice the whole thing in open pairs then in close pairs. Mai: I have a new doll. Lan: What color is her hair? Mai: It's black Lan: What color are her eyes? Mai: They are brown Step 3 : Production : (10’) Picture Drill (B 3 . P 101) - Ask students to look at the picture (4 dolls) - Run through all picture cues. - T. models => sts repeat Example: - What color is her hair? - It’s black. - Teacher – Whole class. - Open pairs => Close pairs. |
