Bài 1

Task 1. Nick and Tom are discussing their new jobs. Draw arrows to illustrate Tom's tone next to each of his statements, then practise reading them out.

1. Nick:    The work itself is interesting.

Tom:    Interesting? It is absolutely fascinating!

2. Nick:   The working conditions are good.

4. Nick:    Our supervisor is pleasant.

Tom:    Pleasant? She is brilliant!

5. Nick:   The wages are OK.

Tom:    OK? They are fantastic!

6. Nick:    The pay for overtime is decent.       

Tom: Decent? It is absolutely incredible!
